At KIM Technologies, continuous testing is integral to our commitment to delivering the highest quality in all our advanced materials, from raw materials to finished ceramics and composites. Our fully equipped laboratories conduct ballistic, structural, mechanical, environmental, and physical assessments to ensure that every material meets the most stringent performance standards and complies with industry regulations. This rigorous testing process is a cornerstone of our ongoing effort to guarantee exceptional reliability and durability in all our products.
Ballistic Testing
Our ballistic testing laboratory is designed in accordance to current threat level standards and allows indepth test analytics. Our capabilities include:
- Tomographic imaging and analysis of ammunition and material samples
- Yaw angle analysis through our computer controlled systems
- 3D scanning for precise and contactless trauma measurement
- High-speed camera testing footage
We comply with the following standards: NIJ 0101.06, NIJ 0101.04, NIJ 0108.01, MIL-PRF-46103E, TS EN 1063, TS EN 1522, STANAG 4569, STANAG 2920.
Materials Testing
In our materials testing laboratory we continuously test the physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of our raw materials and our final ceramics and composites to ensure quality control and process quality assurance. We are capable of conducting tests in the following areas:

Environmental Testing
Our environmental test laboratory assesses the resistance of materials to natural environmental conditions they may face over their lifetime. We conduct temperature, humidity, and thermal shock tests to evaluate and report the material’s durability against extreme temperatures, humidity, and sudden temperature changes.
All environmental material testing is done in compliance with ISO, IEC, ETSI and JEDEC standards.
