Material Engineering
At KIM Technologies, we specialize in the production of a wide variety of advanced ceramics and composite materials, engineered to meet the most demanding project requirements. Our state-of-the-art facility allows us to produce high-performance ceramics, and we also take it a step further by offering composite material solutions that integrate ceramics for enhanced strength, durability, and performance. Whether customizing solutions to meet specific client needs or developing new materials in collaboration with our customers, we ensure the highest levels of quality and innovation throughout every stage of the process.
Advanced Ceramics
In collaboration with our clients, we develop and design the most suitable ceramic solutions tailored to the project’s weight, space, and threat level requirements. Our state-of-the-art facility initiates the production process with a focus on quality assurance and continuous testing, ensuring the highest level of material consistency and uniformity.
The production process of advanced ceramics begins with various input powders, which are first blended and granulated to create a uniform mixture. This mixture is then subjected to ultra-high pressure to form the powders into near-final shapes. Following this, a two step sintering process provides the final shapes and material properties.
- Material Preparation: Blending and granulating the raw materials.
- Material Forming: Pressing powders under ultra-high pressure into near-final shapes.
- Material Sintering I: Pre-sintering at high temperatures to remove binders.
- Material Sintering II: Final shaping through hot pressing or ultra-high-temperature reaction sintering.

Composites Solutions
KIM Technologies produces a wide range of advanced ceramics and can take it a step further by also manufacturing composite materials incorporating these ceramics. These composite materials can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of the customer’s project. Additionally, we offer collaborative development and design services to create the most effective solutions alongside our clients.

The composite production process begins with various input materials, including fabrics, films, and ceramics. The first step involves preparing and cutting the fabric according to the required geometry and orientation. Next, layers are prepared according to the design specifications.
- Input Materials: Various fabrics, films & ceramics
- Fabric Cutting: Preparation and cutting according to geometry and orientation
- Layer Preparation: Preparing layers according to design
- Autoclave Process/Composite Press: Pressurized finishing & forming process
